October 2025 Meeting featuring Leticia Herrera

We’re thrilled to share that our upcoming October McKinney Creative Community gathering will feature local artist Leticia Herrera.

Born in Mexico City, Leticia grew up surrounded by family, stories, and the vibrant colors of her culture. Though she first pursued a career in graphic design, her journey as an artist took root after immigrating to the United States in 2007. From those beginnings, she has built an inspiring practice right here in McKinney, with her artwork represented by galleries and collected both nationally and abroad.

Her signature Walkers series was born from a deeply personal path—navigating single motherhood, profound loss, and the search for belonging. These textured silhouettes across layered canvases speak to resilience, vulnerability, and hope, reminding us that each of us walks a unique journey, yet we are always part of a greater collective.
